What is an admin?
Admins are a group of people that manage the room according the agreements and the rules of Paltalk. This means that the room cannot be handled with offensive language or discrimination against people or groups. Admins have the right to suspend people with such behavior from the room.
The admin who’s serving the present day is responsible for the program, greeting guests and informing the participants about the program for the day.
An admin should serve at least three hours a week. He/she has the right to choose a replacement in case he/she is not able be present. Current phone numbers and e-mail addresses should be available to make sure that the admins can keep in touch in case they have got a hinder to be present at their due or if the technology fails them. This also applies to the Super Admin.
Who can become an admin in the Room ?
1. Admin have to be a newborn Christian.
2. Admin has to have been participating in the room for at least 2-3 months and be known in the room through the participation by i.e. testimonies, bible study, discussions and fellowship.
3. Admin has to have been recommended by another admin and become approved through conversation with the super admin (the persons who’s responsible for the room).
4. It is important that the admin feels that the assignment is a calling from God and believes in the purpose, goal and the creed of the Eritrean Christians Room and all the rules. He has to have respect and love to God and the fellow beings.
5. Admin shouldn’t be admin in other room.
What happens if an admin quit the service?
1. The service is voluntary and is done together for the Kingdom of God. That’s why each and every one has to take responsibility for the mutual work in the room.
2. If the admin have to end his service or take a break for some reason, for e.g. work, technology problems or vacation, is it important that he makes sure that he has substitutes that are familiar with the program and are able to be a stand-in until he’s back. The admin has the responsibility to inform the super admin about this.
How does an admin cooperate?
1. The admin can make suggestions about the room or suggest someone to be a guest in the room. Super admin has to be informed.
2. When the admin makes a change in the program he has to inform the super admin in time.
What is the admin’s main assignment?
1. Admin is the host for the room and makes it comfortable for everyone
2. Admin should not have the ambition to speak himself, but to give the participants the opportunity to start a discussion.
3. Admin makes sure that the schedule is respected
4. Admin informs new guests about changes in the schedule and about the topic
What is (owner) the super admin’s task?
1. The super admin has the same responsibility as the regular admin but is also responsible to Paltalk that the rules are being followed. This means that he first of all is responsible if the rules are not followed.
2. The super admin has the right to suspend someone, on a shorter or a longer term, that is regularly causing disturbance, since he has the ground code to the room. He has also the right to change the code each 4th or 6th month. The new code has to be verified in time to the regular admin.
3. The super admin’s responsibility is to give the code to the become new admin.
4. Super admin should receive and give information to the participants in the room and the admin
5. Super admin is responsible that the schedule of the week is accurate.
6. Super admin have to feel that it is his calling to serve God as a manger of the room. He has to represent Paltalk together with the admin
What happens if the super admin quits?
1. As for the admin the super admin is responsible that there are appropriate substitutes if he is absent.
2. Super admin should select a substitute himself.
